Beautiqué Cosmetic Clinic ('we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your personal information, including sensitive health information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and applicable Queensland health records laws.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Identity & contact details: name, date of birth, address, phone, email.
- Health information: medical history, medications, allergies, prior treatments, photographs (including before-and-after images), consent records and clinical notes.
- Booking & transaction information: appointment history, services received, deposit and payment records.
- Website data: IP address, browser, pages visited, cookies and analytics data (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you (in person, by phone, email, online forms or our booking platform), from your authorised representatives, or from referring practitioners with your consent. Website usage data is collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools.
3. Why we collect and use your information
We use your information to:
- provide cosmetic, aesthetic and consultation services safely and appropriately;
- assess clinical suitability and obtain informed consent;
- manage bookings, payments, follow-ups and aftercare;
- maintain accurate clinical records as required by law;
- communicate with you about appointments, results, education and (with your consent) marketing;
- comply with our legal, regulatory and professional obligations (including AHPRA, TGA and Queensland Health requirements); and

- medical practitioners, prescribers, pharmacists and other healthcare providers involved in your care;
- our staff, contractors and trusted third-party providers (including booking, payment, IT and communication providers) bound by confidentiality obligations;

- law enforcement or government agencies where required or permitted by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Storage and security
We store personal and health information in secure electronic systems and, where applicable, locked physical files. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Health records are retained for the minimum period required by law (generally a minimum of 7 years after your last consultation, or until age 25 for minors), after which they are securely destroyed or de-identified.
6. Photography and image use
Clinical photographs are taken for treatment planning, clinical records and quality assurance. We will only use your images for marketing, education or social media with your specific written consent, which you may withdraw at any time for future use.
7. Marketing communications
With your consent, we may send appointment reminders, treatment information, promotions or news via email, SMS or other channels. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
8. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time. Requests should be directed to info@beautiquecosmeticclinic.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve your concern. If unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
9. Overseas disclosure
Some third-party service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, email, analytics) may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information in a manner consistent with the APPs.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our Site.
11. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
